Psappha: Composing for Piano
Murrough is delighted to have been one of the composers chosen for Psappha’s 2022 Composing for Piano Scheme.
Murrough and five other emerging composers have been working in close contact with the phenomenal pianist and newly appointed artistic director of Psappha, Ben Powell. All six new works will be recorded by Ben on 5 September 2022 at Halle St Peters. Murrough’s piece, Quiver, explores the relationship between propulsion and resonance while demonstrating a strong affinity for blues music. Keep your eyes peeled in September for the final recording!
